The Satara District Court building was inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa on 2 April 2003 by Hon’ble Shri C.K. Thakkar, the then Chief Justice of Bombay High Court. The construction work which started in 1996 was completed in 2003.

The total area of ​​the complex is 13,460 sq.m. of which the building area is 4,038 sq.m. Located near NH-4, about 1 km east of Satara city, the court building is situated in Sadar Bazar Camp area, surrounded by Collector’s Office, Treasury Office, Zila Parishad Office and P.W.D. Bhawan. It has 20 spacious and sophisticated court rooms and oversees 11 Taluka Courts of Satara District.
