Vikarabad is a district in Telangana, India, with Vikarabad town serving as its headquarters. It shares boundaries with Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Narayanpet, and Rangareddy districts, as well as the Karnataka state border. The historic town, founded by the fifth Paigah Amir, Sir Viqar-ul-Umra, was once a private hunting ground for royals. Vikarabad, Dharur, and the scenic Ananthagiri Hills are often referred to as the “mini hill stations of the Deccan.” The Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, nestled in the lush Ananthagiri Hills, is a prominent spiritual and tourist spot.

Vikarabad was established as a Judicial District by the Hon’ble High Court of Telangana on 2 June 2022. It comprises two District Courts, a Senior Civil Judge’s Court, and two Junior Civil Judges Courts at the headquarters, along with Junior Civil Judges Courts at Parigi, Tandur, and Kodangal.
