Jalgaon Court Recruitment 2025 (eCourts.gov.in) New Notification

Jalgaon district was divided in 1906, and initially, only a second-class Sub Judge Court was established. By 1910, it was decided that East Khandesh should be a separate district for civil matters, and financial grants were sanctioned for constructing a court building and private bungalows for the District Judge. However, due to the onset of the Second World War, this work was halted. In June 1920, a first-class court was established in Jalgaon due to an increase in special civil suits at Dhule.

In 1922, a significant gang case required the appointment of a special Additional Sessions Judge at Jalgaon, and this Sessions Court operated for one and a half years. On 12 October 1925, the District Court was formally inaugurated in Jalgaon by the District Judge. The court was initially located in an inconvenient area, but Shri Chatrabhuj Goverdhandas Seth constructed a new, spacious court building on the outskirts of the city. The new building was later improved and inaugurated by Chief Justice Sir John Boment. The District Court officially opened in 1929 with Shri N.S. Lokur as the first District Judge.
