The District Court of Amreli operated out of Rajmahel before 16 January 2000. The newly constructed District Court building in Amreli was inaugurated on Sunday, 16 January 2000, by Hon’ble Justice Chunilal Karsandas Thakkar, who was then the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Gujarat.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Hon’ble Shri Hemant Chapatwala, the Minister for Law, and Hon’ble Shri Becharbhai Bhadani, the Minister for Agriculture. The esteemed guests included Hon’ble Justice R. P. Dholakia, Judge of the High Court of Gujarat, and Hon’ble Justice H. K. Rathod, Judge of the High Court of Gujarat.
