Jagatsinghpur Judgeship was officially bifurcated from Cuttack Judgeship and started functioning independently on 17 May 2013.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hon’ble Justice Shri B.K. Mishra of Orissa High Court, Cuttack in the presence of Hon’ble Shri Shatrughna Pujahari, the then District Judge of Cuttack and Hon’ble Shri Gopal Chandra Behera, the first District Judge of Jagatsinghpur.
