The Judgeship of Khurda was established on 26 August 1980. The inauguration was conducted by Hon’ble Shri Justice S.K. Ray, the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court, Cuttack, with the esteemed presence of Shri J.B. Pattnaik, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Orissa, as the Guest of Honour.
