The establishment of Kota High Court in 1939 marked another milestone in the city’s evolution. Initially functioning from Jhala House, the court later moved to the heritage building ‘Lal Kothi,’ constructed in the 1870s. This building, once part of the erstwhile Kota state, now houses the District and Sessions Court. Despite modernization, Kota retains its historical charm with treasures like prehistoric caves, wildlife, and waterways, making it a blend of tradition and progress.
