The judicial history of the Harda district is fascinating. After becoming a separate district from Hoshangabad in July 1998, the District Court of Harda was established on 1 May 2005, alongside a 100-year-old BAR. The current building housing the CJM Court, Nazraat, Copying, and Record-Room was originally constructed by the British government in 1913 and was called “Tehsil Bhavan.” This building has since been declared a Heritage Building of Harda.

The court campus also includes another historical structure, built in 1916, which originally served as the Sub-Divisional Officer’s Revenue Court.
