Kangra Court Recruitment 2024 (eCourts.gov.in) New Notification

The Court of District Judge Kangra was established in Dharamshala in 1884 and has been functioning there ever since. Additionally, there was a Munsiff Ist Class court also operating in Dharamshala. Historical records indicate that in 1886, Shri G.W. Rivaj served as the District Judge in Kangra at Dharamshala, and appeals against his decisions were heard by the Divisional Judge at Hoshiarpur. Eventually, the matter was escalated to the Chief Court Punjab in Lahore in 1888, illustrating the existence of a comprehensive court hierarchy. Furthermore, records suggest that a Munsiff Ist Class Court was also functional in Kangra in 1902.
