The judicial courts of Kannur district are situated just 1 km away from Thalassery town, near the Thalassery-Kannur National Highway, overlooking the Arabian Sea. These courts function within a complex of buildings that were once the godowns of the British East India Company, including the present Principal District Judge’s Court.
The Thalassery Court Complex houses fourteen courts, including the District Court, four Additional District Courts, Fast Track Courts, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Family Court, Principal Sub Court, Additional Sub Court, Munsiff Court, Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, and the First Class Magistrate Court.
