Gir-Somnath District in Gujarat, located in the Saurashtra region with its headquarters in Veraval, is renowned for the Somnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. The district was carved out of Junagadh in August 2013 and the Judicial District was established in June 2016.

Currently, the District Court operates from the Old Civil Court building, built in 1978, and the F.T.C. building, which was constructed in 2006. The district has a total of 17 courts, including 4 Appellate Courts, 4 Civil Judge (S.D.) Courts, and 9 Civil Judge (J.D.) Courts. Veraval hosts 2 Appellate, 2 Senior Division, and 2 Junior Division Courts, along with the District Legal Service Authority and the Juvenile Justice Board. The Una Taluka has 1 Appellate Judge and 4 Civil Judges, while Kodinar has 1 Appellate Court and 2 Civil Judge Courts. Talalas, Sutrapada, and Gir-Gadhada each have one Civil Judge (J.D.) Court.
