Gujarat Labour Court Recruitment 2025 (eCourts.gov.in) New Notification

The Industrial Court in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, was initially established by Resolution No. ICE/1060/9512/I dated 13th August 1960, issued by the Education and Labour Department. The court was set up with the position of President. Later, through Resolution No. ICE/1064/9174/T dated 7th March 1964, Labour Courts were also established. Subsequently, Government Resolution No. MKM-12-2993-45-V, dated 9th January 2003, brought the Industrial and Labour Courts under the jurisdiction of the Labour and Employment Department. However, with the issuance of the Legal Department’s Notification No. HCT-102010-942-D dated 30th December 2013, the Industrial and Labour Courts in Gujarat were placed under the direct administrative control of the High Court of Gujarat and the Legal Department, respectively.

Currently, in Gujarat, the President of the Industrial Court, who holds the rank of Principal District Judge, serves as the Head of the Department. 10 Industrial Courts are operating across various districts in the state, along with 41 Labour Courts functioning in different districts of Gujarat. The President of the Industrial Court (Gujarat) in Ahmedabad is the Head of the Department.
