Samastipur Court Recruitment 2025 (eCourts.gov.in) New Notification

Earlier, Samastipur Judgeship was a sub-division of Darbhanga Judgeship. Due to the large size of the Darbhanga Judgeship and for the convenience of the people, Samastipur was established as an independent Judgeship. In October 1977, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shambhu Prasad Singh of the Patna High Court inaugurated the Judgeship. Initially, it operated with great warmth and dignity. As the number of cases increased, a new Subdivision with a court in Rosera was created, starting on 16 May 1986 in Samastipur. Two years later, on 20 August 1988, the Rosera Sub-Division was moved to Rosera and inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice R. N. Lal. Similarly, the ‘Dalsingsarai’ Sub-Division was created and began operations on 20th December 1986 in Samastipur. After six years, on 23rd November 2002, it was shifted to Dalsingsarai and inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice P.K. Dev. In 2005, a Family Court was established and inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Nagendra Rai and Hon’ble Mr. Justice C. M Prasad on 16th July.

Earlier, Shahpur Patori Judgeship was under the Samastipur headquarters. For the convenience of the people, it became an independent sub-divisional Judgeship in June 2015, inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice L. Narsimbha Reddy.
