Sawai Madhopur Madhopur Court Recruitment 2024 (eCourts.gov.in) New Notification

The Sawai Madhopur judgeship was established as an independent entity in 1977, separating from the Bharatpur judgeship. Shri O.P. Jain served as its first District & Sessions Judge. Karauli, which was earlier part of Sawai Madhopur, became a separate district in 1997, following which an independent judgeship for Karauli was created. Currently, the Sawai Madhopur judgeship comprises 22 courts, with 11 courts, including the District & Sessions Court, functioning at the district headquarters. Additionally, 7 courts operate at Gangapur City, while 1 court each is situated in Bonli, Khandar, Bamanwas, and Chauth ka Barwara.

Initially, all courts at the district headquarters operated out of the collectorate building. However, they were relocated to a newly constructed premises on 10 November 2011. Presently, Shri Devendra Dixit holds the position of District & Sessions Judge, Sawai Madhopur.
