Lalitpur Court Recruitment 2025 (eCourts.gov.in) New Notification

During British rule, Lalitpur served as the Tehsil Headquarters of Jhansi District. A Munsif-Magistrate Court was established in Lalitpur, operating from a building provided by the Revenue Department. In 1974, Lalitpur was declared a District Headquarters by the then Chief Minister, Shri H.N. Bahuguna. Subsequently, in 1976, a District Court was set up, initially functioning from a rented private building. Lalitpur Judgeship officially came into existence on 1st March 1976, with Shri Rama Shanker Misra as the first District Judge.

The land was later acquired to construct a dedicated court building comprising four courtrooms. After its completion, the new court complex, located near the Collectorate building, was inaugurated on 22 February 1981 by Justice N.D. Ojha, the then Administrative Judge of the Allahabad High Court. Following the inauguration, all courts started operating from this newly constructed building.
