Nalbari is a town and a municipal board in the Nalbari district in the Indian state of Assam. Nalbari town is also the headquarters of Nalbari District. The District & Sessions Judges of Lower Assam Districts, Nalbari District Court was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Justice Sri P.C Reddi, Chief Justice Gauhati High Court on 11th April 1986. The Court of District & Sessions Judge office was established in the year 1986 when Nalbari became a new district. The first Judicial Officer to come as District Judge was Sri S.P Rajkhowa.
