The Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class cum Civil Judge (Junior Division) was established at Changlang in 2018. Utumso Bu served as the first judge of the JMFC Court. Moving forward to 2020, the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Civil Judge (Senior Division) was also established with Shri. Demge Niri was appointed its first judge. Both these courts operate under the sessions jurisdiction of the District and Sessions Judge, Khonsa Sessions Division, Khonsa, Tirap District, Arunachal Pradesh. At present, Smt. Mary Kamasi holds the post of Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Civil Judge (Senior Division) of the Court. The Court currently operates from the Old DC Office Building, Changlang, as it has no premises.
