East Kameng is one of the districts of Arunachal Pradesh and gets its name from the Kameng River, a tributary of the Brahmaputra. The Court complex of East Kameng is situated in Seppa, the headquarters, and comprises the Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Civil Judge (Sr. Div). The location is in the heart of Seppa town, near the General ground in its front, and flanked by the SP and DC offices to its left and right respectively. The court has jurisdiction over both the districts Pakke Kessang and East Kameng, along with all the police stations within the region. The District Court building was inaugurated by Shri Gegong Apang, then the Hon’ble CM on 2 November 1998.
